We regularly add new Christmas stories to delight both young and old. Each tale offers the chance to experience moments of sweetness and dreaminess with family. From magical tales for children to heartwarming stories for adults, our new Christmas additions will bring smiles and joy to every reader, celebrating the magic of the holiday season together.
Once upon a time, in a small village nestled at the foot of the mountains, there was a warm and united family who prepared Christmas with great enthusiasm. They were called the Lumière family, and their house was always radiant with twinkling garlands, scented candles, and handmade decorations. Every year, the Lumière family invited the whole village to a magical Christmas evening filled with songs, hot chocolate, and heartwarming stories.
But that year, an unexpected event occurred: a snowstorm so intense that it cut off the roads and power lines. The entire village was plunged into darkness and cold, with no electricity or means of warmth. Father Lumière, a generous and resourceful man, refused to let the storm ruin Christmas. He decided to gather all the lanterns, candles, and oil lamps in the house to light up the streets, one by one.
With his daughter Aline, he set up the small lights along the path leading to their home, and every house in the village received a glimmer of hope. The villagers, curious about the glowing path, gradually followed the light to the Lumière family’s house. There, despite the cold, they found a large tent set up in the garden, decorated with pine branches and little golden paper stars. The Lumière family had laid out warm blankets and prepared hot chocolate for everyone.
The children laughed, the parents sang, and a sense of unity warmed their hearts. During the evening, Aline told a story that was particularly dear to her: the tale of a magical star that lit up every time someone shared an act of kindness. She ended her story by promising that, if everyone lit a candle of love in their hearts, they would create a star so bright it would guide Santa Claus even through the darkest storms.
When midnight struck, a shooting star crossed the sky, and all the children looked up, shouting with joy: "It’s the magical star! It has come to us!" The star disappeared into the sky, but it left behind a glow of peace and happiness in the heart of every villager.
Since that night, the Lumière family had created a new tradition: every Christmas, all the villagers would light a small candle and place it in front of their house, forming a path of light that guided everyone’s heart, even through the darkest nights.
And so, a storm transformed Christmas Eve into a celebration of light, unity, and human warmth.
Today is Christmas Eve. Elfie wakes up all excited about preparing the meal with her mom. A scent of cinnamon fills the house. Her mom is already at the stove.
Without wasting a second, Elfie puts on her Hello Kitty bathrobe and runs down the stairs leading to the kitchen.
Mom is there, kneading dough, with flour in her hair!
« - Mom, can I help you make the cookies? »
« Good morning, Elfie, you're full of energy this morning! Is the smell of my cookies what woke you up? »
« It smells so good, Mom! »
Elfie quickly puts on her best apron and joins her mom at the countertop.
« - Elfie, I'm giving you the cookie cutters. It's your turn now! »
Radiant with happiness, Elfie gets to work, carefully pressing the dough to make clean shapes. A cookie should never be too thick or too thin. Just right... Once she finishes her task, Elfie brushes the cookies with egg yolk, and then mom pops them in the oven! After a few minutes, a delicious scent fills the house.
Every year, Elfie gives a little bag of cookies to her family members. She doesn’t have money to buy them presents, so she makes cookies to offer instead. Sometimes she adds a few chocolate truffles or mendiants, which she makes herself under her mom’s watchful eye, of course!
Once the cookies are out of the oven and cooled, Elfie carefully places them in a pretty transparent bag, which she ties with a lovely red ribbon.
And there it is, everything is ready! There’s still the meal to prepare, but Elfie is tired. All this energy spent to make others happy... but it’s worth it. Tonight, when she gives them their gifts, she’ll see their bright smiles lighting up their faces... and, of course, some slobbery kisses from the grandmas!

On this Christmas morning, Alice watches the rare snowflakes falling and swirling in the gentle morning breeze. Sitting on her bed, she lets her thoughts drift. What wouldn't she do to have a pet? A little creature to love and cherish, who would return her affection with lots of slobbery kisses! If only Mom would say yes...
But this year, Mom isn’t in the holiday spirit. Dad passed away a few months ago, and since then, Mom has been sad. Alice tries everything she can to help and bring joy back to their home, but it's not enough.
Alice brought up the subject at the dinner table during a one-on-one meal with her mom.
« - Mom, I’d really like to have a dog so I wouldn’t be so alone! »
« - You know what I think, Alice, a dog needs a lot of attention and patience. I don’t have the energy to train a dog right now. I’m sorry, but we’ll talk about this again another time... later... »
Alice knows that Mom won’t change her mind just like that. She often cries in her bed at night.
Dad would have said yes, for sure.
Alice didn’t write anything on her Christmas list this year because the only thing she wanted wasn’t possible.
As she thinks about all this, sitting warm and cozy on her bed, she hears a noise coming from outside. She sneaks up to the window, lifts the curtain, and watches. At first, she doesn’t see anything, but after several minutes of waiting, it seems like something is moving behind the pile of wood at the back of the garden.
Surprised, Alice first steps back, frightened by the sight, then reasonably tells herself that she is safe in her house.
Mom is in the kitchen, baking cookies for Christmas. Alice isn’t allowed to go outside alone. But this time, she decides to defy the rules and face her fear.
Putting on her coat and garden boots, she quietly opens the door to the outside. The snow crunches under her boots. It’s cold, but it feels nice. Her heart beats fast as she approaches the pile of wood.
Nothing moves anymore.
« - I must have imagined it! » Alice thinks.
Suddenly, she hears a small sound, like a bark mixed with whimpers.
Alice gathers her courage and decides to go around the woodpile.
What a surprise it was to discover a puppy lying in the snow, all wet. It looks at her as she approaches and doesn’t move, frozen from the cold. Alice extends her hand, and the puppy licks it.
How cute it is, with its tricolored patches and beautiful brown eyes! Alice gently picks it up in her arms and wraps it in her coat to warm it up.
So focused on the dog, Alice doesn’t hear her mom approach from behind.
« - Alice, what are you holding in your arms? »
« - Mom, please, can we keep it? It’s all alone, it’s cold, and it’s hungry. »
Mom hesitates, ready to say no, but seeing the scene before her, she has no choice but to agree.
All she wants is to see her daughter happy. If a puppy can make her smile, she can certainly make an effort to train it and accept it into their family.
And truth be told, she also thinks the puppy is very cute.
« - What do you think if we name him Hope? »
« - Thank you, Mom, I love you!! Can he sleep with me? Please say yes, Mom! »
« - We’ll see about that. For now, let’s go inside and warm up our new friend. »
Hand in hand, Alice and her mom head back to their home, with a glimmer of hope for the future.
Story written by Morgane for 2DMS
Once upon a time, in a small snow-covered town, there was an 8-year-old boy named Léo. An orphan since birth, he lived in a stark orphanage, where the cold walls and iron beds offered little comfort. Every year, as Christmas approached, Léo would watch through the window as joyful families gathered to celebrate. He dreamed of what it would feel like if, one day, he could celebrate Christmas with parents who would love him.
This Christmas Eve, everything was different. The orphanage director, a man with a gentle but tired look, entered the common room holding a small piece of paper in his hands. "Léo," he said with a smile, "there are people here for you." Léo’s heart began to race. No one ever came to see him. He followed the director into the hall, where a warm couple was waiting for him.
The woman's eyes shone with emotion, and the man extended his hand with a kind smile. "Hello, Léo. We are the Duponts. We would like to offer you something very special."
Léo, initially hesitant, reached out his hand in return. These strangers seemed sincere, but doubt lingered in his heart. "Why me?" he whispered timidly.
The couple explained that they had always wanted a child, but had never been able to have one. They had decided to become adoptive parents, and after seeing Léo, they knew he was the child they had been looking for.
The journey to their home felt like a waking dream. The streets were lit with sparkling lights, and Christmas carols echoed in the cold air. Léo felt both curious and nervous. He had never known the warmth of a home. But upon arriving at the Duponts', he was welcomed by a soft light filtering through the windows and a crackling fire in the fireplace. A majestic Christmas tree, adorned with colorful baubles and golden garlands, stood proudly in the center of the living room. The air was filled with the smells of gingerbread and hot chocolate. It was all so different from what he had known.
That evening, after a hearty dinner and a joyful conversation around the table, the family gathered by the tree. The Duponts handed Léo a small gift, decorated with red and green ribbons. "This is for you, Léo," Mrs. Dupont said with a smile.
Léo carefully opened the gift and found a small carved wooden box. Inside, he discovered a silver star. "This is for you, so you never forget that you are loved," explained Mr. Dupont.
Léo’s eyes sparkled. He had never received anything so precious. He held the star close to his heart, realizing that he had just discovered what real family was.
That night, as the snow fell gently outside, Léo lay down in a cozy bed for the first time in his life, listening to the sounds of laughter echoing through the house. He knew that this Christmas would be the best of his life, for he had found the love he never thought was possible.
And in the quiet night, under a starry sky, Léo peacefully fell asleep, surrounded by the warmth and tenderness of his new family.
Once upon a time, there was a little penguin named Gipsy, who lived on the ice floe with his family. Gipsy had always been fascinated by Christmas: the sparkling snow, the stars in the sky, and especially the legend of Santa Claus who, every year, crossed the sky to bring gifts to well-behaved children. This year, Gipsy couldn't wait any longer to find presents under his igloo; he was determined to *meet* Santa Claus in person.
Gipsy had heard that Santa's village wasn't so far from his ice floe, over there in Lapland. And since he was used to the freezing temperatures, he thought he could definitely make the journey. With excitement, he packed his backpack: a small blanket, dried fish to eat, a compass made from a magnetic seashell, and a red scarf knitted by his mom to keep him from getting lost in the cold wind. His family was a bit worried but, seeing how determined Gipsy was, they wished him good luck and asked him to come back soon.
And so, Gipsy set off on his adventure, sliding and hopping joyfully over the snow. Along the way, he met some new friends: a polar fox who gave him advice on how to cross the snowy forests, and a group of reindeer who showed him how to use the stars to find his way. Each step brought him closer to his dream, and his heart raced at the thought of the magic that awaited him at the end of his journey.
Finally, after several days of travel, Gipsy spotted, in the distance, tiny lights twinkling in the night: it was Santa’s village! Elves dressed in green and red were coming and going with colorful packages, while reindeer practiced pulling the sleigh under Santa Claus's watchful eye! Gipsy could hardly believe his eyes.
Trembling with excitement, he quietly approached so as not to interrupt their work. But Santa had already noticed him and approached with a kind smile. "Well, little Gipsy, did you come all this way to meet me?" he asked in a gentle voice. Gipsy, moved and awestruck, nodded, his eyes shining. He explained to Santa that he wanted to understand how he managed to bring joy to all the children of the world.
Santa placed his gloved hand on Gipsy’s head and shared a secret: "The magic of Christmas, my little penguin, doesn’t just depend on the gifts. It’s the warmth we carry in our hearts, the sharing, and the joy of giving. That’s what makes Christmas so special." He then showed Gipsy the workshop filled with toys made by the elves and even let him ride on the sleigh for a short trip through the sky!
At dawn, it was time for Gipsy to return. Santa gave him a tiny silver bell that jingled sweetly. "This bell will always remind you of the magic of Christmas," he said with a wink. Gipsy thanked him and began his journey back to the ice floe, his heart full of joy and wonder.
When he returned home, he told his family all about his adventure, and they listened with wide eyes. That year, Gipsy had not only met Santa Claus, but he had also learned the true magic of Christmas, the kind that warms hearts and lights up smiles. And from then on, every time the little bell jingled in the icy wind of the ice floe, Gipsy remembered his magical encounter and knew that Christmas would always be in his heart.
In Santa Claus' workshop, Elfy, a clever little elf with green hair and pointed ears, worked tirelessly. As Christmas approached, the workshop was in full swing. The joyful music, the sound of machines, and the laughter of the elves filled the air as everyone worked on their tasks. This year, the goal was enormous: to make 2.2 billion gifts for all the well-behaved children of the world! There were still four weeks to go and just over 200 million gifts to prepare. Nothing insurmountable, thought Santa Claus, especially since he was still checking his famous list to ensure that only the well-behaved children would receive gifts this year.
Yet, that morning, a cry of alarm rang out in the workshop!
> "The toy painting machine! It's broken!"
All the elves turned to Santa Claus, their breath held. Without this machine, millions of toys would remain dull and colorless. Was Christmas in danger?
Santa Claus, always calm and confident, fixed his kind gaze on Elfy.
> "Elfy, my clever little elf, I’m counting on you to figure out what’s wrong with the painting machine. Without it, our toys will be incomplete, and we can’t give colorless toys to the children."
Elfy, flattered but a bit stressed by this task, nodded and headed to the machine, armed with his toolbox. The machine was enormous, filled with tubes, automated brushes, and pots of colorful paint. He first checked the pipes: nothing clogged. Then, he inspected the motors: everything seemed in place. He was starting to lose hope when, suddenly, he noticed something strange.
In the red paint reservoir, there was… a small ball of golden fur! A hamster, deeply asleep, was joyfully snoring away. Elfy couldn't help but laugh. The little animals in the workshop were beloved companions of the elves, but this one had probably sought a quiet corner for a nap.
Carefully, Elfy removed the hamster, who woke up stretching and looking at him groggily. After cleaning the reservoir, Elfy restarted the machine.
> "Hooray!" cheered the elves as the first brilliant colors covered the toys.
Santa Claus, who had been watching, patted Elfy on the shoulder.
> "Well done, Elfy! Thanks to you, Christmas is saved."
Elfy blushed as the other elves cheered, and the machine resumed painting the toys at full speed. Santa Claus returned to his list, murmuring something about a deserving elf earning his own place in the good children’s register.
Thus, thanks to Elfy, the gifts were ready on time, and Christmas was celebrated as it should be.
It was Christmas Eve at the North Pole, and Santa Claus' village was buzzing with joyful and excited energy. Snowflakes gently fell from the sky, covering the roofs of the little elf houses and workshops in a thick layer of white, sparkling snow. Santa's reindeer had gathered around the stable, enjoying a moment of peace before their great journey.
In the workshop, the elves worked with cheerful concentration. Ribbons, colorful papers, and sparkling toys piled up on the tables, while the crackling fire in the large fireplace added a soft warmth to the atmosphere.
Santa Claus, dressed in his big red coat and black leather boots, walked around his desk, holding a long list. It was the famous "nice children's list," the one he always checked twice before leaving. At each name, he smiled, imagining the joy of the children as they opened their gifts. But when he reached the bottom of the list, a sad smile appeared on his face.
He then called Lucia, the head elf.
— Lucia, look at this name here, he said, pointing to the bottom of the list. It's Timothée, a little boy who lives in a city in the south. This year, his family is going through tough times, and it seems he's lost his Christmas joy.
Lucia, her heart touched, nodded.
— What can we do, Santa? We can't let a child be sad on Christmas Day.
Santa Claus thought for a moment. Then, he had a bright idea.
— This year, we will give him something very special. Not just a toy, but a warm memory that will remind him that the magic of Christmas is always there, even in difficult times.
Lucia smiled, excited about the idea. Together, they chose a special box made of maple wood, with carvings of snowflakes and a sparkling star engraved on the lid. Inside, they placed a small wooden figurine of Santa Claus, carefully made by the best elf sculptors, along with a red woolen hat knitted with love. Then, Santa added a letter written by hand.
Dear Timothée,
This year has been tough, but never forget that the magic of Christmas is always there, in your heart and around you.
This hat and figurine are here to remind you that there is always someone who thinks of you and believes in you.
With all my love,
Santa Claus
That evening, after finishing preparing all the gifts, Santa harnessed the reindeer, and the big sleigh soared into the sky. Around the world, he visited each house to deliver the presents. But when he arrived at Timothée's house, he paused for a moment on the snowy roof, his heart light but focused. He carefully placed the small box under the little boy's tree before continuing on his journey.
The next morning, Timothée came down to the living room, surprised to find an unexpected gift under the tree. Opening the box, he discovered the figurine, the hat, and the letter from Santa Claus. His eyes lit up, and for the first time in a long time, a sincere smile brightened his face.
With the hat on his head, he felt wrapped in comforting warmth. Every year, he would cherish the box and the figurine, remembering that even in the darkest moments, there is always someone who believes in him and that the magic of Christmas never disappears.
And there, at the North Pole, Santa Claus and Lucia savored a cup of hot chocolate, their hearts light, knowing they had warmed a little heart on this Christmas night.
Once upon a time, in a small snow-covered village nestled in the mountains, there lived a young woman named Elise. Elise was a florist and owned a small shop that radiated a soft, comforting warmth in the heart of winter. Every year, as Christmas approached, she decorated her store with twinkling garlands, pine branches, and scented candles. The shop looked like it had come straight out of a fairy tale.
For some time, Elise had been worried: business wasn't going well. Few customers entered, and she wondered if she would be able to continue living from her passion for flowers and floral arrangements. But she loved this village and refused to give up.
One December morning, as the snow gently fell, a man entered the shop. His name was Gabriel. Tall, with a shy smile and hair sprinkled with snowflakes, he seemed like he had stepped out of a dream. Gabriel had come from the city for a few days to settle family matters in the village, a place he hadn't returned to in years. Upon entering, he was immediately struck by the warmth and the unique atmosphere of the shop.
He explained to Elise that he was looking for something special for his grandmother's grave, a woman he had loved deeply and who, like him, adored flowers. Elise listened carefully and created a simple yet elegant bouquet, delicate with touches of red and green to evoke the spirit of Christmas. Gabriel watched each of her movements, fascinated by the grace and gentleness of Elise. As he took the bouquet, he smiled and whispered a heartfelt thank you.
That first day was followed by others. Gabriel returned, under various pretenses, to buy another bouquet or simply to chat with Elise. They talked about everything and nothing, about their childhood memories, and the precious moments they had shared with their loved ones. Elise, in turn, discovered a sensitive and attentive man, someone capable of seeing beauty even in the smallest things, and Gabriel, in return, became more and more attached to this simple and radiant woman.
Christmas was approaching, and the village was preparing for the annual celebration held in the central square at the foot of a giant tree. Gabriel invited Elise to join him for the evening. She gladly accepted, and with a beating heart, she prepared herself with care.
On Christmas Eve, the square sparkled with twinkling garlands and colorful lanterns. Gabriel and Elise met near the tree, and fine snow began to fall gently, like a protective veil around them. They danced to the music of violins, surrounded by the joyous crowd, yet feeling as though they were in their own world. There was a bond between them, a softness, a blossoming love that needed nothing else to bloom.
Just before midnight, Gabriel gently took her hand and said:
"Elise, I know this may sound crazy, but from the very first day, from that first bouquet, I feel like I want to be here, close to you. For the first time in a long time, I feel at home."
Elise, her eyes filled with tears, squeezed his hand tighter.
"Me too, Gabriel. I always thought this village would be my home, but now I understand that it can be so much more, because of you."
They kissed under the Christmas lights, a gentle, sincere kiss full of hope and promise.
Gabriel decided to stay. Together with Elise, they took care of the shop, expanding it to add a greenhouse filled with exotic plants. The village slowly came back to life, and the locals were delighted to see the place revived by their love and passion.
Every Christmas, Gabriel and Elise decorated the shop together, remembering their first meeting. For them, this festive moment would never again just be a time to celebrate winter: it had become the symbol of the love that had brought them together and the magic that enveloped them, now and forever.
Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Leo, seven years old. This year, for the first time, he would spend Christmas in the hospital. Leo had been sick for a few months, and despite all the efforts of the doctors and his family, he needed to stay under observation. The idea of spending the holidays away from home and his friends made him very sad, and sometimes, he would fall asleep dreaming of his Christmas tree and the gifts that would usually be waiting for him under the tree at home.
On Christmas Eve, as the snow began to fall gently through the window of his hospital room, Leo curled up under his blankets, his heart heavy. The night nurse, a kind lady named Claire, quietly entered to wish him goodnight. Seeing the tears in Leo's eyes, she whispered softly, "You know, Leo, the magic of Christmas can happen anywhere, even here, in the hospital. You just have to believe in it."
Leo smiled shyly, but he found it hard to truly believe. Yet, after Claire gave him one last smile, he finally closed his eyes and fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, a soft chime echoed in Leo's room. He opened his eyes and was dazzled by a golden glow dancing in the air. It was like floating sparks that slowly formed a figure... and that figure gradually took the shape of an old man dressed in red, with a long white beard and a kind smile. It was Santa Claus!
Leo stood frozen. "But... are you really Santa Claus?" he asked in an incredulous voice.
"Of course, Leo," Santa replied with a gentle laugh. "I came specially for you, because I know you are spending Christmas here this year."
Santa then waved his hand, and, as if by magic, a small Christmas tree appeared in the corner of the room. Its branches immediately lit up with small multicolored lights, and sparkling ornaments hung from them. The room filled with a sweet scent of pine, cinnamon, and hot chocolate, reminding Leo of the warm atmosphere at home.
"I'm going to show you something very special," Santa said, gently taking Leo's hand. Together, they flew into the air, and before he could understand what was happening, Leo found himself high in the mountains, in a fairy-tale landscape of pure white. Snowflakes gently fell around them, and stars shone in the sky, brighter than ever.
"Look, Leo," Santa whispered, pointing to the horizon. In the distance, an enchanted forest stretched out, illuminated by fireflies and golden lights. Animals of all kinds approached them: foxes, rabbits, and even deer, all glowing with magical light. Leo felt a warm sensation in his heart, a warmth he hadn't felt in a long time.
"Why did you bring me here?" he asked, his eyes filled with wonder.
"Because, Leo," Santa replied, "the magic of Christmas is within each of us, and it shines even brighter when we truly need it. Even though you're here in the hospital, you can carry that light in your heart. It will give you strength to get better."
Santa then gently placed his hand on Leo's heart, and a warm sensation enveloped him, like a blanket of love and comfort. The warmth was so intense that Leo started laughing, a genuine laugh he hadn't had in a long time.
"I will never forget this night, Santa," he murmured.
In the early morning, Leo woke up in his hospital room. For a moment, he thought it had all been a dream... but next to him, on the small table, he found a snow globe with a little deer inside. And, to his great surprise, in the corner of the room, the small Christmas tree from the previous night was still there, gently shimmering.
His parents and the nurses were astonished to see how happy and peaceful Leo seemed that morning. His cheeks were rosier, his smile brighter. He then told them about his adventure with Santa, and even though they thought he had probably dreamed it, they couldn't help but feel a little of that magic too.
From that day on, Leo gradually regained his strength. He kept the snow globe with him at all times, and every Christmas, he would remember that magical night when Santa visited him in the hospital. For him, it was more than just a dream; it was a precious gift, a Christmas treasure he would keep in his heart forever.
Léon was a mischievous little bear who lived in the heart of a charming village nestled in the mountains of Peru. The village, though far from the hustle and bustle of big cities, was a peaceful place where the bears lived in harmony with nature. The bear community had its own traditions, and the village was surrounded by vast green forests and crystal-clear streams. Léon and his family lived in a gigantic tree with thick branches, which his father had carefully furnished with moss carpets and leaf blankets. It was a warm and welcoming place, where Léon and his little sister Léa spent hours playing and exploring.
Léon loved his life in the village, but every year, as Christmas approached, his heart would beat faster. He had one special wish, a wish he had held for as long as he could remember. As the holiday season neared, the days grew shorter, and the air became cooler. The surrounding forests were covered in mist and rain, but Léon dreamed of seeing snow fall, just as he had heard in the stories told by the elders. He had never seen snow in his life, and it fascinated him.
He often turned to his little sister Léa, who was just as excited as he was about the festivities. Léa, though a bit younger, was a bear full of energy and curiosity. They played together, exploring the surroundings, but deep down, Léon knew that there was only one thing that would make this Christmas even more magical: if it snowed, just a little, so that he could have a big snowball fight with Léa.
Every night, before going to bed, Léon would make a wish. He would snuggle under his leaf blankets, close his eyes, and, while listening to the wind blowing through the trees, he would whisper softly, "Please, make it snow." But every morning, he would wake up in his tree, the branches damp from the morning dew, and there was still no snow.
The other bears in the village were used to this tropical climate. Christmas arrived with celebrations, songs, feasts of fresh fruit, and dances around the fire. The whole village would gather under the great trees to exchange gifts and wish each other happy holidays. But Léon couldn't shake his desire: he dreamed of running in the snow, making snowballs, and having fun with Léa.
Finally, Christmas Eve arrived. The whole village was gathered around a big fire, the bears rejoicing and telling stories. Léon and Léa danced joyfully, but Léon kept his eyes turned toward the sky, hoping that a snowy surprise would come to transform the landscape.
Then, as if by magic, in the middle of the night, a cold breeze swept through the village. Léon stopped dancing, his eyes lighting up in wonder. Tiny snowflakes began to fall slowly from the starry sky. Gradually, they began to cover the ground, the tree leaves, and even the roofs of the bears' houses. Léon, his heart racing, turned to his sister Léa and shouted, "Look! Look!"
Without waiting, they both ran outside, their little paws trembling with excitement. The snow already covered the ground like a soft, cold blanket. The two little bears began a brilliant snowball fight, laughing out loud and rolling in the snowflakes. They made snowmen and had the time of their lives.
One by one, the other bears from the village joined them, and that Christmas became the most magical of all. Léon had seen his wish come true, and this white Christmas, in the little village perched in the mountains of Peru, would remain etched in their memories as an enchanted adventure, where the snow not only covered the earth but also the hearts of the bears.
Léon, his eyes shining, knew that sometimes, the simplest dreams come true when you least expect it. And there was no better gift than a snowball fight shared with those you love.

Preparation:
1. Prepare the avocado: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit and peel, then mash the flesh with a fork in a bowl. Add lemon juice to prevent browning and season with salt and pepper.
2. Prepare the cream cheese: In another bowl, mix the cream cheese with crème fraîche to soften it. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Cut the salmon: Cut the smoked salmon into small pieces.
Assemble the verrines:
Place a layer of mashed avocado at the bottom of each verrine.
Next, add a layer of the cream cheese mixture.
Top with pieces of smoked salmon.
Garnish: Finish with a sprig of fresh dill and a few capers for a festive touch.
You can prepare these verrines in advance and keep them in the refrigerator until serving time. They will taste even better when well chilled!
Ingredients (serves 4): 1 turkey roast (about 1.2 kg), 300 g cooked chestnuts (canned or vacuum-packed), 2 oranges (zest and juice), 2 onions, 2 garlic cloves, 1 sprig of fresh thyme, 50 g butter, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 250 ml chicken broth, Salt and pepper, 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for the sauce)
Preparation:
1. Prepare the turkey: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Season with salt and pepper, and place the roast in an oven-safe dish. Add the thyme sprigs and crushed garlic cloves around the meat.
2. Prepare the chestnuts: Peel and chop the onions. In a skillet, sauté them with a bit of butter for 5 minutes. Add the cooked chestnuts to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes to warm the chestnuts thoroughly.
3. Roast in the oven: Place the turkey roast in the oven for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Baste the meat regularly with its juices to keep it tender.
4. Prepare the orange sauce: While the turkey is cooking, squeeze the oranges to extract the juice and save some zest.
In a small saucepan, heat the orange juice with honey (if using) and a bit of chicken broth. Let the sauce reduce for about 10 minutes.
Once the sauce has thickened slightly, stir in the orange zest for added aroma.
5. Final touch: When the roast is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest a few minutes before slicing. Serve slices of turkey with the warm chestnuts and drizzle with the orange sauce.
This dish can be paired with gratin dauphinois or roasted vegetables (potatoes, carrots, Brussels sprouts, etc.) for an even more festive meal.
Ingredients:
For the sponge cake: 4 eggs, 100 g sugar, 100 g flour, 30 g cocoa powder, a pinch of salt
For the praline ganache: 200 g milk chocolate, 100 g praline (praline cream or chopped praline), 200 ml heavy cream, 50 g butter
For the decoration: Powdered sugar, A few hazelnuts or praline pieces (optional)
Preparation:
1. Prepare the sponge cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until the mixture becomes pale. Gently fold in the sifted flour and cocoa powder into the egg yolk mixture. Then, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites in circular motions. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cake is cooked through (it should remain soft). Once out of the oven, immediately roll the cake in a damp towel to help it keep its shape as it cools. Let it cool completely.
2. Prepare the praline ganache: Heat the cream in a saucepan until it reaches a boil. Remove from the heat, add the chopped milk chocolate, and let it melt. Stir well until the ganache is smooth. Add the praline and butter, and mix until the ganache is uniform. Let the ganache cool and thicken slightly at room temperature.
3. Assemble the Yule log: Unroll the cooled cake and spread a layer of praline ganache over the entire surface. Gently roll up the cake to form a log. Cover the log with the remaining praline ganache, smoothing it with a spatula.
4. Decorate the log: Dust with powdered sugar to simulate snow. Decorate with crushed hazelnuts or praline pieces for an extra touch of indulgence. You can also add Christmas figurines or small branches of pine for a more festive look.
Prepare the Yule log the day before serving to allow it to rest and the flavors to meld. This makes it even more delicious!
